Look at these beautiful spring flowers- crocus and daffodils.
We explored the wildlife area and some of us saw a rabbit. Can you describe a rabbits features?
The hawthorn hedge had new leaves coming out of the buds.
We had to remember all the things we had seen and some of us drew a map. We worked as a team to complete this busy job.
We made bird cake for the birds.. if you would like the recipe we can let you have a copy and you could make some at home.
We got creative outside making birds nests, weaving silver birch twigs to make the nest.
Friday was our celebration Day and we learnt about Vaisakhi. We went to assembly and learnt all about the Sikh Festival. The whole school processed out of assembly accompanied with drummers and flags.
After doing busy jobs in the morning- making flags, Vaisakhi cards, drums... we had a party in the afternoon.
AMrs Elliot and Mrs Bhamra showed us how to dance. We all had a go.
After all the dancing and busy jobs we went inside to enjoy a picnic together. A big thank you to all the grown ups who provided the delicious food and those who came to join us.
We have had a lovely first week back!
We hope you have fun doing the homework this week. The children found it hard to notice changes in their natural environment and name natural objects and animals. We have given you a spotter sheet to help you on your walk and don't forget the websites are very good bursting with ideas.
